Stalnaker Hall was especially windswept today, as an unseasonably cool breeze whips through the tepid August heat. It is appropriate, I imagine, that the weather is wonderful on the day I begin my journey. I suppose I should begin with an introduction about who I am and what I'm attempting to accomplish here. My name is, well, we'll forget about names for now, in case this journal falls into the wrong hands. What's important is that lately I've been struck by a desire to discover more about my origins. Some of my friend's parents come to visit them on weekends occasionally, to remind them where THEY come from, but I have no one. I took a walk around campus today, clad in my spirited Gold and Blue, and just thought about it. I desire to know more about my past so I can instead turn my focus to my future, because right now it feels as if I'm constantly "Facing backwards" looking at events that have already happened. This journey to understand origins will be tenuous I know, but I shall overcome the obstacles and find out, not just the facts, but the truth about my history.
First stop on the list is walking down High Street and asking whoever I can find, hopefully I'll find some sort of clue. I'll write more when I know more.
